Peer Coaching Groups
Peer Coaching Groups - Overview
Peer Coaching Groups are designed to facilitate goal-setting, coaching and action learning within a small group of peers. Each group member decides what real-world goal or issue they wish to address, and guided by a facilitator their peers will coach primarily through asking open-ended questions to expand the member’s thinking and options.
Recognizing the unique roles and challenges nonprofit professionals face within their organizations (and knowing the most successful leaders are good listeners), Nonprofit Network established the Peer Coaching cohort!. These groups of people who fulfill the leadership roles within their nonprofit, will be tailored to assist participants in their relationships and conversations with staff, board members, donors, and their community.
Members commit to taking action between meetings and report on progress and lessons learned. Peer Coaching Groups follow a very structured process that ensures that members work on issues that matter most, get help the way they need it and apply what they have learned.
The Benefits - In addition to being coached, members develop core coaching skills
- Through open-ended questions and limited advice, members are able to tap their own knowledge and that of their peers
- Members work on real challenges or goals – the things that matter most here and now
- Members make new connections, receive feedback and gain new perspectives
- Members are accountable to take action, so they learn by doing and following through.
2025 Peer Coaching Calendar: To be determined as cohesive groups are formed (7 online sessions)
*How This Works
Peer Coaching groups will be customized with no more than 8 people per group. However a minimum of 6 is required to be the most beneficial so the start date will vary until we have the minimum number of comparable peers. *We are taking interest forms now for 2025. We are planning for late Spring/early Summer start times.
Groups will form as we identify participants that will form a cohesive group. Please complete our Peer Coaching Cohort Interest Form HERE or get registered HERE to reserve a spot in these upcoming sessions.
After informal phone interviews with each of you and a group is established coaching sessions will meet monthly and will last 2 - 2.5 hours. Groups will meet for 7 online sessions (1 meet and greet + 6 coaching sessions) and this will expand over 6-8 months with each group facilitated by a Trained Cognitive Coach.
Participation cost: $725 for NN members and $850 for non-members
Check our Events Calendar for an upcoming session or email [email protected] for more information.
