Our Board Members

 

 

Jessica Houston, Board Chair 

Jessica joined the Board in 2019.  She serves as Nonprofit Network's Board Chair. Jessica is the Social Media Data Analyst for Campus Sonar. She is also the Board Secretary for Jackson Young Professionals and is a member of a national sisterhood that aspires to create lifelong friendships with women of diverse heritages.


Kevin Brown, Vice Chair  

Kevin joined the Board in 2020. He serves as Nonprofit Network's Vice Chair and is on the Strategic Oversight Committee and Governance Chair.  He is the Chief Diversity Officer and Director of Intercultural Relations at Spring Arbor University.  Kevin has over 30 years of experience in secondary and higher education, as well as community leadership.  He has held positions in both college admission and diversity leadership for several highly selective liberal arts colleges and universities.  He has experience working in private and public education, the corporate arena, as well as in the non-profit sector.  

 

Tony Curtis, Board Treasurer 


Tony joined the Board in 2019.  He serves as Nonprofit Network's Board Treasurer and as Chair of the Finance Committee.  Tony retired from The Cardinal Group as the CFO.  Prior to that he served Rehmann for 20 years.  Tony also serves as on the Board of Directors as the Treasurer of Compassionate Ministries and serves on the Finance Committee of Lily Missions. 

   

Chelsea Poole, Board Secretary  

Chelsea joined the Board in 2017.  She serves as Nonprofit Network's Board Secretary, is Chair of the Policy Committee, and is a member of the Finance Committee.  Chelsea also serves on the Jackson Area Transportation Authority (JATA) Board of Directors and the Advocacy/Public Relations and Finance Committees of the Center for Family Health.  In addition, Chelsea was recently added to the Neighborhood Association of Michigan’s Board of Directors. 

Ron Bacon

Ron joined the Board in 2023.  He currently works for Genentech, a Roche Company in support of neuroscience, as an Area Manager. He has worked in the biotechnology industry for over 20 years. He is DEI Lead for both Michigan and the Midwest with his organization. Ron attended Saginaw Valley State University, BA in Criminal Justice/Sociology and a MA in Organizational Leadership.   


Lori Grace


Lori joined the Board in 2024 and has served on the Finance Committee since 2022.  Lori recently retired from the Jackson Community Foundation where she was finance director for 12 years.  Lori has over 30 years in the accounting field.  She has lived in Jackson most of her life, is married to Jamie Grace and they have two grown daughters.  Lori loves to travel, read, and play pickleball. 

Valerie Moskal

Valerie joined Nonprofit Network's Strategic Oversight Committee in 2021 and joined Nonprofit Network's Board in 2022.  She is the Chief Operating Officer at TRUE Community Credit Union.  Prior to joining TRUE, Valerie served as the Executive Director of Human Resources at Jackson College.  She has served on the Jackson College Foundation Board, the Anchor Initiative, and several Human Resources boards and associations. 

 

Miguel Rodriguez 


Miguel joined Nonprofit Network's Board in 2021.  He serves on Nonprofit Network's Finance Committee.  He is the Executive Director of Capital Area Community Services, Inc.  He has spent all of his career serving nonprofits.  He has a Masters in Public Administration from Eastern Michigan University.  

 

Angela Wetherby

Angela joined the Nonprofit Network Board in 2023. She served on the Nonprofit Networks' Policy Committee.  She is the Corporate Giving Specialist at the Consumers Energy Foundation.  Formerly she was an Associate Attorney at Inosencio & Fisk, PLLC and received her Law Degree from Michigan State University College of Law.
