Recognizing the unique roles and challenges Fundraising professionals face within their organizations (and knowing the most successful fundraisers are good listeners), Nonprofit Network is establishing our first Fundraising Peer Coaching cohort! 

The group, limited to Development Directors and Executive Directors who fulfill the fundraising role within their nonprofit, will be tailored to assist participants in their relationships and conversations with donors, prospective donors, board members and staff. 

The sessions are designed to facilitate goal setting, coaching and action learning within a small group of peers. Each group member decides what real-world goals or issues they wish to address, and guided by a facilitator, their peers will coach primarily through asking open-ended empowering questions to expand the member’s thinking and options.

Participants commit to take action between meetings and report back on progress and lessons learned.  The group will follow a structured process ensuring members work on issues that matter most, get help the way they need it and apply what they have learned.

The Benefits - In addition to being coached, members develop core coaching skills:

• Through open-ended questions and limited advice, members learn techniques to tap their own knowledge and that of their peers;
• work on real challenges or goals professional fundraisers face – the things that matter most here and now;
• make new connections, receive feedback and gain new perspectives;
• commit to take action, so they learn by doing and following through.

*How This Works
The Fundraising Peer Coaching group will be customized and focus on issues Development professionals and Executive Directors who perform their organization’s fundraising duties encounter.  To ensure personal attention, groups will be limited to 8 participants with a minimum of 6 so the start date will vary until we have a minimum number of comparable peers. *We are taking interest forms now for 2024. 

Groups will then form as we identify participants to create a cohesive group.

After informal phone interviews with each of you and a group is established coaching sessions will meet monthly and will last 2 - 2.5 hours. Groups will meet for 7 online sessions (1 meet and greet + 6 coaching sessions) over 6-8 months with each group facilitated by a Trained Cognitive Coach.  

Participation cost: $725 for NN members and $850 for non-members
