Denice Gravenstijn
Denice Gravenstijn is a Consultant Support Specialist within Nonprofit Network. Her goal in this role is to provide support to the consultants and the organization through communication, organization, and research. Her support helps Nonprofit Network serve its clients efficiently, effectively and holistically. With her international background, she is easily able to adapt to various populations and environments and is a great asset to the organization. Her strengths include researching and analyzing social science data, problem solving and fostering strong team relationships. Denice has fulfilled many roles in her career from research assistant to office administrator. She is excited to move into this role and work with its diverse pool of clients. She is an advocate for equality and inclusion and has also been active in various diverse communities, celebrating many types of cultural backgrounds. She is also multilingual, fluent in English, Dutch and Sranan Tongo (Lingua Franca in Suriname, South America). Denice has a Bachelor of Science degree in General Sociology from Anton de Kom University in Suriname, South America, and a Master of Art degree in Applied Sociology from Eastern Michigan University. She was previously an active member and volunteer within Girls Scouts in Suriname and the United States for over 15 Years. She now dedicates that time to raising her two young children, promoting values of respect, hard work, and kindness. When Denice is not at Nonprofit Network, she enjoys hiking, jogging and spending time with her family. |
